The monthly membership fee for each month’s box is $19.99. This price covers the cost of all the materials and tools of the various projects you will be sent. I was a kid who loved arts and crafts, and when I babysit crafts are still my go to activity. These woodworking projects are more than the average “make a birdhouse” kit many of us likely did as kids. These are cool looking and fun to make toys any kid would adore. I have few personal favorites from the gallery of past projects.

One of the projects I personally really like is the wooden planes that were featured in one of the past kits. These were two fairly good-sized planes that were easy to assemble the pieces of wood together to make with the provided tools. With a paint job and some decals, these planes were ready for the skies in your child’s imagination.

When considering signing up for any subscription box, you have to decide if it’s worth the money. The best way to do that? A pro-con list of course! And it’s only fair that we start with some of the drawbacks of Annie’s Young Woodworkers Kit Club.

The Drawbacks 

The biggest drawback of Annie’s Young Woodworkers Kit Club is also one of the biggest features of it: every month is an expansion on the same type of projects and skill sets. The first kit gives you the five tools and an easy project. The next month’s kit will be similar but with a slightly different focus. So if your child is looking for a variety in what they spend their time building and crafting, I’d suggest looking at some of Annie’s other memberships.

The other main drawback is that because these are geared for kids ages 7-12, your child may find these projects too simple. If they already know woodworking techniques, they may want something more advanced. These kits are made to be accessible to children who haven’t done these sorts of crafts before.

The Positives
